Major in Theatre Arts

EMPHASIS IN CHILDREN'S DRAMA

Course Requirements for the 2007-2008 Undergraduate Catalog

The Theatre Arts major is an impacted program. To be admitted to the Theatre Arts program with an Emphasis in Children's Drama, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Complete Theatre 100, 107 or 120, and 130 with a grade of C or higher. These classes may not be taken for credit/no credit (C/NC).
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.4 or higher.

Please use the following checklist to assist you in planning your schedule of classes. This list is for the Theatre Arts major only, and does not address your General Education requirements.

This major does not require a foreign language or a minor.

Check for prerequisites before registering for classes. You must have completed the stated prerequisites for the course you are registering for, or have completed the equivalent of the prerequisite from another school if you are a transfer student.

__ Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement: Passing the Graduation Writing Assessment with a score of 10, or Rhetoric and Writing 305W or 500W, with a grade of C (2.0) or better.
