Major in Theatre Arts
EMPHASIS IN DESIGN FOR TELEVISION AND FILM
Course Requirements for the 2007-2008 Undergraduate Catalog
The Theatre Arts major is an impacted program. To be admitted to the Theatre Arts program in Design, students must meet the following criteria:
- . Complete Theatre 100, 107, and 130 with a grade of C or higher
- . Complete a minimum of 30 transferable semester units
- . Have a cumulative GPA of 2.4 or higher
- . Complete 240A & 240B (or their transfer equivalent)
- . Have a combined GPA of 2.7 for 107, 240A, & 240B
- . Submit a portfolio of design work for review by the Head of Undergraduate Design. Transfer students should present a letter of support from their previous school if no design work is available. If the Review is satisfactory, the student is advanced to the Emphasis in Design for Television and Film. If the Review is not satisfactory, the student will be held to the General Theatre Program.
