Major in Theatre Arts

EMPHASIS IN DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY FOR THE THEATRE

Course Requirements for the 2007-2008 Undergraduate Catalog

The Theatre Arts major is an impacted program. To be admitted to the Theatre Arts program in Design and Technology, students must meet the following criteria:

  • . Complete Theatre 100, 107 or 120, and 130 with a grade of C or higher
  • . Complete a minimum of 30 transferable semester units
  • . Have a cumulative GPA of 2.4 or higher
  • . Complete 240A & 240B (or their transfer equivalent)
  • . Have a combined GPA of 2.7 for 107, 240A, & 240B
  • . Submit a portfolio of design work for review by the Head of Undergraduate Design.
  • Transfer students should present a letter of support from their previous school if no design work is available.

Check for prerequisites before registering for classes. You must have completed the stated prerequisites for the course for which you are registering, or have completed the equivalent of the prerequisite from another school if you are a transfer student.
