Margaret Larlham, Associate Professor in Theatre, was born in South Africa, and taught at the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa prior to moving to San Diego in 1986. She is Assistant Artistic Director for the annual Theatre of the World Festival and Director/Playwright for SDSU Theatre for Youth Season and Touring Programs. Recent plays include Musical Adventures with the Boy Mozart 2005/2006, a new adaptation of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass 2005, FIRE AND MIST - Stories of Old Town (2003), (which has been included in the SDCS 4th Grade Program in Old Town for the past two years), and Tortilla Moon, published by New Plays for Young Adults in 2002.Her arts-integration approach to performance is reflected in her teaching in,for example, "Improvisation for the Actor", "Creative Drama", "Theatre for young Audiences", and "Creativity and Communication in the Arts".
