Randy Fuelle is an audio engineer, producer and audio instructor at the School of Theater, Television and Film at San Diego State University. His production experiences include multi-track audio engineering, live sound re-enforcement, music producing, music publishing and live radio performance.

Randy first arrived in California from Wisconsin in 1973, where he had begun his career in audio sales and sound system design.

In 1978, Randy built his first recording studio - a small multi-track production room built into his garage. His recording facility - Hit Single Recording Services - expanded over the years (and two commercial locations) into a full service facility that now includes analog, digital and hard disk based recording media. Hit Single has established itself as a mainstay of the San Diego recording establishment for the past 30 years.

Randy has engineered projects for a wide variety of recording companies and record labels including Polygram, Interscope, Curb, Bomp, Folk Arts, Jazzology, Cargo, Tripple XXX, and more. Some of the recording artists he has worked with include The Kingston Trio, Alfonso Johnson, The Beat Farmers, and Buddy Blue.

Randy first attended the University of Wisconsin (1972 -73) where he majored in Communication Arts. He later attended Cuyamaca Community College (El Cajon California) where he received an Associates Degree (Dean’s List). Additional course studies at Cuyamaca included Small Business Management, Aeronautics and Electronics Technology.

Randy transferred to San Diego State University in 2001, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Television, Film and New Media (TFM). At the completion of his studies he was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for outstanding audio from the SDSU faculty staff. Upon his graduation in 2005, he was immediately hired by SDSU for the position of audio instructor. Randy also lend his engineering prowess to “The Short List”, a weekly television hour dedicated to short films from around the world.
