Sharon Oppenheimer joined The School of Theatre early in the 1980s. Dr. Oppenheimer is a Child and Youth Drama specialist and has worked with individuals of all ages teaching theatre, directing, and producing shows both in the U.S. and abroad. Dr. Oppenheimer served as the Producer/Artistic Director of Images Theatre for seven years, a professional theatre for teens that focused on adolescent issues. In the past decade she has developed a variety of programs dealing with human relations and advocacy. Her work currently highlights peaceful and nonviolent approaches to resolving differences at the interpersonal, community, and global levels. The emphasis is on teaching peace, conflict resolution, and nonviolence through the art form of theatre and other venues.
