Teri has an ongoing professional career as a costume craftsperson and dyer/painter in theatre, opera, film and television. She has done projects for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Huntington Theatre Company, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Santa Fe Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, and the San Diego Opera. She has worked with designers Bob Morgan, Lewis Brown, Greg Barnes, Bob Blackman, Deb Dryden, Zandra Rhodes, Ann Roth, Robert Turtrice, and John Conklin. Teri worked as a painter/dyer on Independence Day, The Crow: City Of Angels, School Ties, Don Juan DeMarco, 12 Monkeys, and Birdcage. She was also the distresser/ager for the T-2 attraction at Universal Studios, Hollywood, and a costume manufacturer for the Waterworld attraction at Universal Studios, Japan.

At SDSU, Teri teaches Costume Crafts class, Dye/Paint class, and co-teaches Designing with Fabric with Holly . Her professional affiliations include IATSE 705, Motion Picture Costumers in the Dyer Classification, and she is a USITT National Member and a member of the Costume Society of America. Teri has been a panel participant at USITT National Conventions, including the 2004 Professional Development Workshop, "Aging and Distressing for Theatre & Film."
